Developing a formal privacy policy has not resulted in any new business practices at Open Hands—we have always treated our clients’ personal information with care and confidentiality, in keeping with our business values. But developing a policy has provided us with the opportunity to be more transparent and help communicate awareness of online privacy concerns.
As an added benefit, we now have this small platform to repeat a needed message: Talk to the children and teens in your life about protecting their privacy and safety online. (See the short Insights item on this topic for more information.)
